Stretch marks are marks or lines that may appear on the skin are from breakdown of collagen and elastin.

When the skin is overstretched, the normal production of collagen is disrupted causing  the formation of stretch marks. These marks typically occur during pregnancy, puberty or weight gains and losses. They can be found on the stomach, thighs, upper arms, buttocks, back and breasts.

Topical lotions and creams can temporarily reduce the appearance of stretch marks however they may not provide you with the results you desire.
